Why should I work with a specialty agency instead of a local agency?
When it comes to working with a marketing company, one of the decisions you have to make is whether or not you want to work with a specialty marketing agency vs. local marketing agency.
There are pros and cons to both.
Pros and cons of working with a local marketing agency:
The primary benefit of working with a local marketing agency is proximity and the ability to meet in person. This is important when working with a general marketing agency as they typically need to understand your business better in order to get the results you expect. That lack of industry knowledge is the con of working with a local marketing agency.
Pros and cons of working with a specialty marketing agency:
The exact opposite of that is true for working with a lawn care marketing agency. When you work with an agency that has lots of customers in the same industry as you, they already understand your business and services and have experience delivering results so there is less “learning curve” about your business when compared to a local marketing agency. The drawback is the lack of a personal in person relationship. Most meetings are held using video conferencing which bridges that gap to a certain extent. Some agencies like ours also have offices where you can come visit and meet in person periodically.
As far as which one is better for you will depend on your expectations and how often you want to meet in person.
What options are there for meetings?
At Marketing 180 we offer a variety of ways to meet with our customers. While most meetings are held using Google Meet we do have offices in Siloam Springs, Arkansas where customers come to meet in person. This is typically done for strategy meetings, automation implementation planning or to utilize our recording studio to make videos.
The other option is for us to come to you. This is most commonly done for us to better understand your operations, identify areas for improvement in marketing and sales (and maybe some operations) as well as getting pictures, videos and other assets for advertising purposes.
How does the recording studio work?
We have a recoding studio in our offices in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Our customers can utilize this area of our office to record videos for their business. We have all the lights, cameras, microphones and backdrops needed to produce high quality videos for your lawn care company.
If you are not comfortable with being on camera, you can also send us scripts and a shirt with your logo and we can produce the videos for you. Videos are a great way to improve your marketing and are highly recommended for your website.

How long does it take to get started?
Getting started with Marketing 180 is easy. We start by finding out what services you offer and the areas you provide service in. We will then request digital assets from you including your logo as well as any videos and pictures you may have related to your business.
Then we get started, we have different team members that work on different aspects of your marketing program, so a lot happens all at once, and depending on the size of the task determines how long each process takes.
Google and Facebook Ads are typically available within a week and websites can take up to 6 weeks depending on the number of pages on the site.
Why do you specialize in the lawn care industry?
Marketing 180 works with a variety of business, all of them in the trades / service industry. But we got our start in the lawn care industry because our founder owned and operated a local lawn care company.
Since 2015 we have worked with 100’s of lawn care companies across the country and have a deep understanding of the business from a sales and marketing aspect as well as an operational standpoint.
We are one of the few agencies that actually understands the intricacies of a lawn & landscape business. When you work with us you don’t have to teach us about your business. We already know based on where you are located if you have warm season or cool season grasses or a mixture of both, we know what time of year you need to use pre-emergents and whether or not you’re aerating lawns in the spring or fall and if you are overseeding grass.
